Local Police Partnership Strengthens Cultural Connections at Lakenheath Elementary School
Students across prekindergarten through third grade at Lakenheath Elementary School welcomed a special visitor this month as Police Constable Harmon of the Suffolk Constabulary continued his ongoing partnership with the school. The collaboration marks the launch of a new initiative designed to promote citizenship, cultural understanding, and positive relationships between students and the local British Host Nation police force.
Lakenheath Third Graders Bring Stories to Life Through Readers’ Theater
Third-grade students at Lakenheath Elementary School showcased their reading skills and confidence during a Readers’ Theater performance presented to classmates and families in the school cafeteria.
STEM to Space Program Launches Students Into Real-World Learning at Lakenheath Elementary
Students at Lakenheath Elementary School recently explored the frontiers of space science through an engaging collaboration between the school’s STEM program and a U.S. Space Force outreach team, part of the national STEM to Space initiative.

DoDEA joins the National Association for Music Education and schools across the nation in celebrating Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) in March. The purpose of recognizing MIOSM in DoDEA is to highlight and advocate for music programs in our schools.
National Reading Month
DoDEA joins the National Education Association and schools across the nation in celebrating Read Across America on March 2nd and all year long to help motivate kids to read, bring the joys of reading to students of all ages, and make all children feel valued and welcome.
